Demons and Lullabies is a paranormal story of demons, vampires, and a single father trying to bring up his son in a world that is getting dangerous day by day. This might not sound too bad except the father is a vampire and the son is growing up wanting to be by his father's side as he fights the evil within the world.

Kallysten did an excellent job in developing a unique and intriguing story. I have to say that the dialogue and character development of the child was wonderful and hinted at much greater things. It was a faster read than I had originally thought it would be.

I do want to warn those that are looking into reading this book. There are many explicit scenes within this book that are male/male. If the story grabs you but you don't like explicit scenes, you can easily skip them and not lose the story.

A story that leaves you wanting more which it appears will be coming in a sequel. The pace is steady without being too fast or boringly slow. The past is visited several times in flashbacks. Details of the supernatural world are discussed. This is not a simple story of love, parenting, or fighting. It is a complex story of life with a supernatural twist.

Note: This book was provided as part of a virtual book tour host for FMB tours with no expectation of a positive review.

I'm Rebecca. You'll find me and several other writers enjoying books. The purpose of my reviews is not to just pat all authors on the back. I write reviews to share my thoughts and to help you decide if this is the book for you. What does that mean? It means we don't just give 5 star reviews. We don't just review good books. We review them all.
